Promotional Calendar and Application Deadline 2018-2019 Beer & Cider MPTS Deadlines

2018-2019 EA - P1 to P4 Allocation

The LCBO continues to refine its promotional programs to meet the ever-changing needs and expectations of our customers. Our promotional programs are designed to improve the customer experience, ensure the right products are in the right stores and grow profitable sales.

The LCBO will continue with a seasonal themed approach in 2018/19. The promotional periods will be grouped under the following five seasonal themes:

  • LCBO Curated (P13, P1, P2) Featured picks from our staff experts; showcase our knowledge; focus on why we choose them; LCBO as expert specialist.
  • Worldly Experts (P3, P4) Capitalize on worldly events by showcasing products from different parts of the world; focus on the culture and history behind the products, processes and producers; LCBO as worldly expert.
  • TBD (P5, P6)
  • Expertly crafted (P7, P8) A 2017 repeat in order to create a banner for VQA and Whisky promotions; focus on production- local versus world craft processes and people; LCBO as local supporter and worldly expert.
  • How to holiday like Food and Drink (P9, P10) Continue to highlight our entertaining edge as a differentiator to brand; LCBO as responsible, amazing host.
  • LCBO Values and Rewards (P11, P12) Feature values, amazing selections; Air Miles, etc; focus on value for money in P12 (not just $ value); LCBO as generous friend
  • On Trend (P13)

With the exception of P9 and P10, each promotional turn is aligned with the LCBO reporting period and lasts four weeks. Promotional Turn 9 is 3 weeks and promotional turn 10 is 5 weeks.

The LCBO continues to refine its promotional programs to meet the ever-changing needs and expectations of our customers. Our promotional programs are designed to improve the customer experience, ensure the right products are in the right stores and grow profitable sales.

The LCBO will continue with a seasonal themed approach in 2016/17. One refinement being made is amalgamating period nine and ten for the end aisle displays only. This will result in selected products being featured for the full eight weeks of periods nine and ten. All other promotional programs will continue to turn every promotional period. The promotional periods will be grouped under the following five seasonal themes:

  • Spring (P1, P2, P3)
  • Summer (P4, P5, P6)
  • Fall (P7, P8)
  • Holiday (P9, P10)
  • Winter (P11, P12, P13)

With the exception of P9 and P10, each promotional turn is aligned with the LCBO reporting period and lasts four weeks. Promotional Turn 9 is 3 weeks and promotional turn 10 is 5 weeks (except for the end aisles, which are now one 8 week period).

The table below outlines each Promotional Turn's start and end dates as well as application deadlines for Displays and Support Programs.
