The LCBO Merchandising team is pleased to announce that we will begin to intake travel invitations from trade associations for calendar year 2023.
If you are interested in inviting members of the Merchandising team to travel to your Country/Region, please submit an invitation using the following process:
- Trade Association/Industry Group to submit a letter of invitation directly only to Abhay Garg, VP of Merchandising (abhay.garg@lcbo.com) and copying Kirstie Cook (kirstie.cook@lcbo.com). Invitations submitted outside of this process will not be considered for planning.
- A detailed agenda for the trip is not required, however please include the following:
o Trip objectives and outcomes
o Suggested duration/timing of the trip
o Brief outline of the regions/countries to be visited
o Travel should be between February and December 2023
The deadline for invitation letters to be received is December 16, 2022.
A review of all applications based on category priorities will be done and the decisions will be conveyed back by Jan 13, 2023.
The Merchandising buying team is also planning on sending representatives to the following trade shows in 2023: Prowein and VinItaly. A separate communication will be issued regarding LCBO attendees and the process for scheduling meetings.
Please note that we continue to monitor public health measures and travel restrictions and will adjust plans as required.
