In response to the crisis in Ukraine, the LCBO will be donating $50,000 to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal which will provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
George Soleas, President and CEO of LCBO, helped announce the news on his LinkedIn earlier today, commenting:
“We’ve all watched the unfolding crisis in Ukraine with shock, sadness and empathy. As someone who was forced to flee my country of birth due to conflict, I know first-hand how much the people of Ukraine need our support. The LCBO will be donating $50,000 in support of @canadianredcross, which will provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict.”

This announcement comes after the LCBO agreed to remove Russian-produced products from all sales channels in response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
