LCBO is proud to take a leading stance with respect to the environmental, social, and governance practices of the beverage alcohol industry – not only in support of our government mandate but in alignment with our company values.
In the spirit of continuing to drive meaningful change, we are pleased to introduce our updated Supplier Code of Conduct to you today. This updated code reflects our commitment to improve the sustainability of Ontario and the beverage alcohol industry by setting standards and leading by example.
This Supplier Code of Business Conduct continues to set out the LCBO’s expectations of every supplier who wishes to establish and maintain a business relationship with us. We expect our suppliers to act in an ethical manner, be guided by the LCBO’s core values, and comply with the spirit and the intent of this Supplier Code. Our updated Code reflects supplier code of conduct best practices and broader responsible supplier programs, including from our trade partners and other liquor jurisdictions.
LCBO’s updated Code holds suppliers accountable to best practice standards and newly defined areas such as environmental standards, human rights, quality assurance, health & safety, advertising endorsements and privacy & information security.
As our partners, you are responsible for adhering to our revised Supplier Code, educating your employees on the changes, and reporting violations to the LCBO if and when they arise.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Category Manager or the Sustainability team at spiritofsustainability@lcbo.com. They are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you in advance for your collaboration and dedication to seeing that this is successfully adopted and enforced.
