Last year through our Spirit of Sustainability social impact platform, we proudly launched the Spirit of Inclusion initiative, designed to support underrepresented women who are looking to begin or advance their training in the winery, brewery, and distillery fields.
Thanks to the generosity of you, our valued partners, this program has grown significantly over the last year. For instance, Moët Hennessy’s donation helped to create a valuable research position at Brock University, while donations from Labatt and DIAGEO supported bursaries and scholarships for students registered in the program. We can’t thank you enough for allowing the Spirit of Inclusion Initiative to thrive and for joining us in championing equitable representation.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we are once again amplifying our Spirit of Inclusion Initiative and looking to create more opportunities for diverse women to enter, advance and thrive in the beverage alcohol industry. Please join us by sharing The Spirit of Inclusion Initiative page on lcbo.com with your personal network and with eligible students who are looking to begin or advance their careers in the winery, brewery, and distillery fields. On this page you will find more information on the initiative, our impact partners, eligible students, and ways to get involved.
We’re also proud to support our community this International Women’s Day by launching our Equity Campaign and fundraising for Women’s College Hospital (WCH). From today, March 8th , until March 27th, customers can donate to WCH alongside their purchase at LCBO stores across Ontario to help increase equity in healthcare.
Thank you again for your continued support and for joining us in building communities where all individuals have access to the opportunities they need to succeed.
Should you have any questions about the Spirit of Inclusion Initiative or Equity Campaign, please do not hesitate to reach out.
